I don't claim to understand at a basic level songs written by female songwriters about issues of relationships and the emotions and thoughts that accompany every stage of a relationship. However, I do love it when a woman can articulate those things well.
Case in point: Rosie Thomas. Listen to her. She might change your life.

Was wondering when you were ever going to blog again...
Rosie Thomas is the most amazing girl. I used to see her in coffee shops in Seattle - we lived in the same neighborhood. But i was never brave enough to say hi, because I was too geeked out. I can honestly say that she puts on one of the best live shows ever - not flashy, just amazingly beautiful music. Her voice is stunning. Her writing makes me cry.
